• Scientific Library of the National Scientific Center "Institute for Soil Science and Agrochemistry Research named after O.N. Sokolovsky" was founded in the year 1956, and is the unique library in the Ukraine in the soil science and agrochemistry branch. 
• In the Library there are about 70 thousand copies of special scientific, scientific technical publications, reference books on all aspects of soil science and agrochemistry research, and allied sciences: geology, hydrology, geomorphology, microbiology, plant physiology and others. The bases of the library collection are the fundamental works of soil science and agrochemistry research founders: V. Dokuchaev, D. Pryanishnikov, O.Sokolovsky and others famous scientists.
•  The Library also has a unique fund of rare publications from private libraris of O. Sokolovsky, M. Krupsky, O. Mozheiko, V.Kysil, G. Green, O. Kireyev. 
•  The Library has scientific-search activity for investigating of the history and bibliography of leader scientists. A series of such works has opened by a book dedicated to Professor N. Krupsky. Publications dedicated to academicians O. Sokolovsky, B. Nosko, V. Medvedev, V. Kissel, a corresponding member R. Truskavetskiy, professors G. Novikova and K. Holupiak continued this series. 
• The Library provides book exchange with libraries in the Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, distributes scientific literature, published in the Institute. The library's fund is formed in according to the priorities of scientific activity of the NSC "Institute for Soil Science and Agrochemistry Research named after O.N. Sokolovsky ".
